Clarence Johnson

Obituary of Clarence Olof Johnson

Clarence (Ole) Olof Johnson was born August 4, 1931, in Canwood, SK and died July 11, 2025, at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. Peacefully with his family around him. Clarence moved to B.C. at an early age and worked in Cranbrook, B.C briefly before moving to Vancouver, B.C. After a few years Clarence pursued his passion of truck driving for years while living in Prince George, B.C. He moved back to Parkside, SK, in 1993 to retire with Dorothy and to start a busy new chapter of their lives. Dorothy and stepsons Ken and Rod enjoyed many adventures together with Clarence. We played with go karts, enjoyed water skiing, fishing or maybe camping. There was always an adventure to be had with family and friends. Clarence has seen more of our beautiful back country than most of us could ever dream of. In later life he very much enjoyed music and dancing at many halls around Saskatchewan. He was a very special friend to many and will be dearly missed. Clarence was nominated by his peers and friends in the Parkside area for his selfless helping out in and for the community. Clarence was awarded the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal at the parliament building in Regina, SK on the 1st day of May 2012.

Clarence is survived by his stepsons Ken Weber (Karen) of Kelowna, B.C. and Rod Weber (Dee) of Calgary, AB; granddaughters Crystal Weber of Kelowna, B.C. and Kari Weber (Kenzie) of Kelowna, B.C. ; grandson Bryan Weber of Vancouver, B.C. ; sisters Kate Gabrielle of Swan River, MB, and Shirley Larsen (Al) of Prince Albert, SK; brothers Bill Johnson (Connie) of Hope, B.C. and Aaron Johnson (Arlene) of Edmonton, AB; friend Dawn Mezzo of Shell Lake, SK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Johnson; parents Olof and Ruby Johnson; and eight of his brothers and sisters.
