With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Laurent August Archer, who left us peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the age of 77, in Prince Albert, SK, surrounded by the love of his family.
Laurent is survived by his beloved wife Margaret, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, resilience, and unwavering support. He was a proud father to Jamie (Craig) and their family Jordan (Danielle), Zachary (Kennedy) and Jody (Melany) and his family, Lucas, Camille, and their mother Jennifer - each of whom carries a piece of his strength and steadiness with them. Laurent also leaves behind his siblings: Jules, Colette, Jean (Maxine), Claude (Marion), and Pauline (Bruce), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elie & Laura Archer; his in-laws, William & Rosie Grypiuk; and siblings-in-law, Calvin, Norma, John, Robert, and Rita.
A celebration of Laurent's life will be held on Friday, July 25th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church 260 25th St East, Prince Albert, SK. Lunch to follow. All are welcome to attend and share stories, memories, and love.
In lieu of other tributes donations in memory of Laurent may be directed to, Rose Garden Hospice, 500 – 38th St. West, Prince Albert, SK S6W 0A3 rosegardenhospice.ca, a cause close to the family's heart.
Laurent, you taught us the value of showing up, of working hard, and of loving without needing to say it out loud. Thank you for everything. We'll miss you more than words can say.
