Obituary of Todd Dwayne Cromartie

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Todd Cromartie announces his tragic passing on October 16, 2006 at the age of 43. Todd was born to Grace & Lester Cromartie on Nov.29, 1962 in Prince Albert, SK. He was the youngest of four children. His siblings were Mary Ellen, Leslie and Ross. At the age of 19, in 1982 Todd married his first wife and they had 4 children - Tyler, Travis, Karah and Trevor. Todd then moved to the Island, Qualicum Beach, where his daughter Zoe was born in 1993. In 1994 Todd was transferred to Fort St. John where he met Tina, Brad, & Amanda. Todd was always surrounded by kids, family and friends. He will be remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Tina Laliberte of Meadow Lake, SK; his children Tyler (Suzy) and their children Taymar and Parice, Travis, Karah (Brian) and their son Brody, Brad, Trevor, Amanda and Zoe; his mother Grace Cromartie of Shellbrook, SK, his father Lester (Cec) Cromartie of Prince Albert, SK, his sisters Mary Ellen (Bernard) Gunderson of Big River, SK, Leslie Gunderson of Prince Albert, SK, a brother Ross (Cheryl) Cromartie of Shellbrook, SK as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends. He was predeceased by his brother in-law Dwayne Gunderson in 2004. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 31st, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Big River Community Hall with Rev. Ken Easterbrook as the officiant. The soloist was Bill Martodam. The eulogy was read by Crystal Leach and Melanie Malbeuf. The honorary pallbearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Todd's life and the urn bearers were Mary Ellen, Leslie and Ross. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Todd was laid to rest in the Big River Cemetery.
