Obituary of Robert "Bob" Cleland Franklin

Robert “Bob” Franklin 1955- 2014 On Friday May 23, 2014, Bob Franklin unexpectedly passed away at the Provost Health Centre at the age of 58 years. Bob was born in Prince Albert, SK on July 7, 1955 to John and Violet Franklin, he was the baby of the family. He grew up working alongside his father in the family trucking business and continued his passion for another 30 years. On October 9, 1976 Bob married his best friend and soul mate Susan Trann. They settled in Prince Albert and welcomed the birth of their three children Steven, Danny, and Heather. After a long battle with cancer, the love of his life Susan passed away April 2, 1993. Although life was never the same for Bob, he found pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren, Violet, Cadence, Reid, Rhett and Sean. In 2005 he settled in Provost, AB with his daughter Heather and her family, where he resided until his passing. Bob is survived by his son; Steve (Kelly) and their children Rhett and Sean; son Dan; daughter Heather (Evan Burrows) and their children Violet, Cadence, and Reid; sisters Marlene (Fred) Hollinger, Judy (Morley) Waslenko; brother Bill (Shelly) Franklin; brothers- in law and sisters- in -law Bob Trann, Mary (Jim) Glover, Dave (Karen) Trann, and Lois (Kevin) Souter; his furry companion Suzie Q; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bob was predeceased by his wife Susan; brother James “Jim” Franklin; parents John “Clee” and Violet Franklin; parents-in-law James and Evelyn Trann; sister-in-law Diana Trann; and brother-in-law Fred Trann. In lieu of tributes memorial donations in memory of Bob can be made to Provost Health Centre- Acute Care, Box 270 Provost, AB T0B 3S0. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday May 29, 2014 at Calvary United Church 114- 25th Street East Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating.
