My sincere sympathy to all the family on the loss of your dear Mother!I am sorry i was unable to attend the farewell. Lena was a very special person, loved her wit and sense of humour! She was a remarkable strong woman bravely facing all that was dealt to her in life and still came thro with a joke. She will be dearly missed by many but all the good memories will keep her spirit with you forever! She certainly made a mark, a legacy,which shines through her family, which she was so proud of! I met your mother only once in her home during the Thick wood Hills tour. She was a warm and lovely lady and we so enjoyed talking with her and viewing her delightful artwork. I purchased a painting of a yellow bird on a branch oozing with red berries. Her name is proudly displayed with the year 2003. It is one of my favorite pieces. From reading her obituary I can tell that she lived her life to the fullest and was an outstanding person is so many ways. You must be all so proud of her accomplishments and a life well - lived. So sorry to hear of Lena's passing. She always invited us to visit her in her house when we were in Shell Lake so we could remember the good times when we used to live there.

Our beautiful Lena will be so dearly missed! She was one of a kind! I will always remember her for her kindness, generosity and welcoming heart. She always welcomed us and others into her home. A friend of any family member was automatically a friend of hers....she was so very warm and generous. She will have a special place in heaven on the welcoming committee, she can show people a thing or two on how to make others fells comfortable and accepted. She lived a full and beautiful life...what a privilege! She made this world a better place.
