Obituary of William Creighton Farthing

William "Bill" Creighton Farthing 1932-2014 Bill Farthing passed away on October 26, 2014 at the age of 82. Bill is survived and remembered by his wife Alma, his sons Billie and Ed (Lynne) and his grandchildren Courtney and Riley. Apart from being a farmer, Bill drove the schoolbus in the Leask area for seventeen years. When his health deteriorated due to Parkinsons disease and Bill could no longer live at home, he moved into Wheatland Lodge in Leask. Friends and family gathered to share their memories of Bill on November 1, 2014 at the Leask Lions Hall. Lynne helped us remember some of those special little things about Bill in the eulogy. Some memories are captured better by pictures and as a tribute to Grampa Bill, a slideshow of his life was shown. The urnbearers were his two cherished grandchildren – Courtney and Riley. The family would like to thank the Wheatland Lodge staff for their great care. We’d like to thank Jerry for always keeping Bill’s hair neat and trimmed. We’d like to thank the friends and family that brought food, called, visited or send special thoughts. Thank you to the Anglican Church ladies for a wonderful lunch – with that special touch! As time passes, Grampa will remind us that he is here with us - whether it be the little raindrop or snowflake that falls from nowhere or whether it be that little butterfly that won’t leave you alone, he will be here!!
