Obituary of Lloyd Francis Lang
Lang, Lloyd
April 1, 1938 - January 20, 2015
Lloyd was born April 1, 1938, to Wildrew and Margaret Lang. Lloyd was a man of strength, wisdom and knowledge. Lloyd’s lifelong work was the farm and road construction and he enjoyed doing both. It didn’t matter what needed to be done; mechanics, carpentry, electrical work, his cows and horses, he took pride in it all. His first and foremost pride and love was his wife of 52 years and his kids, and later in years his daughter & sons-in-laws and the grandkids and great-grandkids. Lloyd enjoyed his pastimes of taking his team of horses in for parades & wagon rides, setting off fireworks, watching old westerns & the APTN news, listening to CJWW’s Saturday night fiddle party & the boots and salutes program, wasn’t a night that passed he didn’t have his radio on. Lloyd loved to visit, with everyone, didn’t matter where or who they were. Lloyd enjoyed collecting antiques and old items such as harness, collars, old tools and more.
Lloyd was known for a few special sayings, “living on love”, “don’t take any wooden nickels” & “if you don’t speculate you don’t accumulate”, he was also known for his dry sense of humour, that he passed on to his kids. Lloyd was a tower of support, guidance, strength, wisdom and most of all love to his family.
Lloyd is lovingly remembered by: His wife of 52 years, Sandra; His children and grandchildren: Gordon (Teresea) and family: Wildrew (Tracey); Christine; Alysia (Hoyt); Shannai (Jeff); Chrystal (Rick) and family: Scott (Brittani); Shirley (Dig); Shane; Lisa (Gordon) and family: Brent (Chelsey); Matthew (Ashley); Bailey (Corey); Roxanne (Duane); Tania (David) and son, Lane; His great grandchildren: Shantal; Breelyn; Hunter; Vander; AJ; Danton; Saydee; Surree; Sayge; Tayah; Kadie; Laney, His siblings: Faye Nagel; Alex Lang; Wildrew Lang; Roy (Laia) Lang; Doreen (Oreland) Dean; Edward Lang (Hilda); Edna Loseth numerous nephews and nieces.
