Obituary of Gordon Bechtel

Gordon David Bechtel 1927 - 2015 Gordon was born in Cabri, SK on November 14, 1927. He moved to Big River with his family in 1934, where they farmed a section of land southwest of town. He married Helen Woods in 1959 and moved to the family farm, where they raised their family of four children. In 2013 Helen and Gordon retired to Turtleford, SK. Gordon was predeceased by his father William, his mother Margaret, his brother Jack and his sister-in-law Anne. Gordon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Helen, his son: Lee(Joanne), Justin(Chelsey) and Felicia, his daughter: Holly Wilson(Daniel), Elisha(Arie), Crystal(Darren), Kim (John), Preston(Diane), his son: Troy(Joselyn), Harlan, Ledeen, his daughter: Coreena Thomas(Brandon) Brendan(Bryanna), Katyra, Mercury, as well as 3 great grandchildren and his special pet Smudge. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 2:00pm from the Kingdom Hall in Mervin, SK.
