Obituary of David Joseph Warren

David Warren 1947 - 2015 David Joseph was born in Prince Albert on March 17th, 1947 an only child for Kathleen and Wilfred Warren. He grew up in the same house as his father had spent his childhood. David had the normal school experiences in various schools in his area and attended high school at PACI. It was there that he became interested in sports and music. His passion for both lasted his lifetime. After high school Dave attended the University of Saskatchewan where he earned his Bachelor of Education Degree. By this time teaching positions were not as easy to get so he headed east to teach at Churchbridge where he met and married Patricia Luchinske. They moved to Big River where Dave had a job teaching grade 5. On Feb 27, 1974 Christopher Kyle was born, on May 7, 1978 the twins Jennifer Lynne and Gerald Rodger were born. They now were a family of five. As the years went by, Dave continued to get more and more involved in the community. He taught grade 5 for 10 years, then he went to work for Steve Raymond at the gas bar. He spent years working at the IGA with the Yurachs and later in doing landscaping and yard work for Steve. When Pat retired David did also. Over the years he had coached sports teams in the high school, joined the Fire Department & the Curling Club, was umping Fast Ball, and lead the Cub & Scout troops as his boys showed interest. David was prominent in the Anglican Church. David passed away quietly on February 26th, 2015 from a massive heart failure. He is and will be sorely missed. David is lovingly remembered by: His wife, Patricia, His children: Christopher (Rochelle) of Meadow Lake, SK and family: Mitchell, Cassia and Kade; Gerald (Maria Theresa) of Wembley, AB an family: Marc and Kenneth; Jennifer (Jason Polsom) of Brandon, MB. He is predeceased by: His parents, Arthur and Kathleen Warren. A Funeral Service was held Monday, March 2nd, 2015 from the Community Hall in Big River, SK. Officiated by Pastor Jake McCrae.
