Laura Elaine Bear 1948-2015 It is with deep sorrow that the family of Laura Bear announce her passing on the 11th day of March 2015 at the age of 67 years.Laura is lovingly remembered by her: Son, Larry Bear; Daughter, Tammy Bear; Paternal sons, Vernon, Phillip, Gerald, and Clifford Bear; Grandsons, Jadon Michael Sasakamoose-Bear, Jordan Brett, Jared Bear and Tyrell McGilvery; Granddaughters, Alana Rose and Tianna Celeste Bear; Great Grandson, Landyn Carter Lee Turner; Maternal brothers and sisters: Velma Isbister, Donna Biech, Terry Piche, Calvin Isbister, Reta Sturgeon, Ronnie Isbister, Peggy Bowman, and Keith Isbister; Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Paternal brothers and sisters: Gary, Kenny, Darlene Little, Ruby Clarke, Kathy, Sandra Peekeekoot, Blanche Isbister, Russel, and Colin Ahenakew; Special sisters-in-law, Lorna Bear, Doris Bear and Harriette Dreaver; Laura was predeceased by her: Parents, Helen Isbister (nee Robinson) and Rev. Gordon Ahenakew; Maternal brother, Kevin Isbister; Sister, June Isbister; Nieces, Eunice Cree and Sharon Goulding; Paternal sons, Leonard and Richard Bear; Infant grandson, Hunter Bear; Paternal brother, John Ahenakew and sister, Myrna Ahenakew; Laura was born February 14th, 1948 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and passed away on March 11th, 2015 in Prince Albert, SK. The Wake Service for Laura commenced Thursday, March 12th, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Big River First Nation Band Hall. The Funeral Service took place on Saturday, March 14th, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Big River First Nation Band Hall and the Big River First Nation Anglican Church, Officiant was The Elders & Rev. Sam Halkett. Honorary Pallbearers were "All of her special friends." Pallbearers were her nephews Alex Isbister, Alfred Dreaver, Robin Bear, Quentin Bear, Shannon Bear, Delbert Dreaver. The final resting place for Laura was in the Big River First Nation Anglican Church Cemetery.
