Andre Eugene J. Dégagné
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Andre Degagne announces his
peaceful passing on Monday May 4th, 2015 at the age of 61. Following his
courageous and inspiring battle with cancer. Andre is survived by his his loving wife
Lise, His son Mario Degagne (Lynsey), daughter Nadine Degagne-Hill (Craig) and
son Onil Degagne (Alyssa) and two beautiful grandchildren Brooklyn and Brayden
Degagne. He is also survived by his mother Simone Degagne, His Sisters, Doris,
Denise, Rita, Claire, Murielle and Leone, and his brothers, Marcel and Omer.
Andre was born in Prince Albert, SK and raised in Marcelin, SK. He was raised to
work hard and love lots. He married Lise Houde and moved to Saskatoon, SK
where he provided for his family with pride. As he got older he took jobs all in
different provinces and ran his own painting business with his two brothers. After
getting out of painting he worked as a framer, labourer and heavy duty machinery
operator. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time outdoors with nature.
He was dedicated to his family, his work and his dreams. He held his family and
friends very close to his heart. The family would like to give a special thanks for the
compassion and quality care provided to Andre by the Staff at the Prince Albert
Hospital and the staff at the Shellbrook Hospital. Andre will be missed but never
forgotten. There was a Prayer Service held for Andre on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. from the St. Joseph RC Church in Marcelin with Harry Lafond officiating. The Mass of Christian Burial for Andre took place on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Jean Baptiste RC Church in Debden with Father Sebastian Kunnath as Celebrant. Andre was laid to rest in the Debden Cemetery. In lieu of tributes, memorial donations may be made in memory of Andre to the Wildlife Federation of Canada.
