I wanted to send my condolences to the family of Sgt. Girouard. He was my instructor at a course I took in May 2015 at the Canadian Police College. Although I only knew him for a short time, he made a big impression on myself and my colleagues. We spoke about his time in "D" Division and chatted at lunch time, always greeting me with a smile. I was shocked to learn of his passing and it truly has affected me. I consider it a privilege that I was able to know this kind hearted "gentle giant". He was truly a wonderful man. RIP Leo.
