Obituary of Edward Louis Bradley

Edward Louis Bradley Edward Louis Bradley late of Big River, SK. passed away November 29th, 2015 with his family by his side at the age of 90 years. Ed was born in Central Butt Saskatchewan November 9, 1925 to Louis & Viola Bradley. He went to work at a tender age of 14 on a farm for Nels Edson. Among the people that he worked for was Beryl Macintosh, Max Wilson and Earl Beebe. Dad's last job was driving for Earl Beebe Trucking. When Max sold the business to Earl Beebe; dad said, “Max sold me with the business.” In 1948 he married Barbara Davidson, she would be his wife for 65 years. Together they raised eight children. Hal, Blair, Arlene, Heather, Lori, Greg, Kelly & Holly. Dad had a different relationship with each one of us. He worked very hard in his younger years; our greatest gift was seeing our dad spend time with each of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and the special bond that he quietly developed with each one of them. He loved camping, travelling, hunting, fishing, and loved horses. In retirement, Dad enjoyed many camping trips all over Saskatchewan and Alberta plus trips to Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii, he even tried parasailing on one of the trips. Another hobby of Dads was leather work, his dad passed on a great /dying skill of leather work to him. Dad fixed saddles, skidoo seats and harnesses. His Memories forever cherished by loving wife of 65 years, Barbara, His children: Hal (Sharon) Bradley of Big River, SK and family: Tanya (Spencer) Leanne (Dean); Blair (Cindy) Bradley of Edson, AB and family: Celynne (Marc) ,Cole & Richelle(Immanuel); Arlene (Ron) Gilbert of Big River, SK and family: Travis (Nicole) & Evan; Heather Bradley of Big River, SK; Lori (Gord) Bahm of Fort St. John, BC and family: Chuck (Janna); Greg (Pat) Bradley of Fort St. John, BC and family: Gwen, Becky (Adam) ,Gerald &Erin; Holly (Ron) Abel of Calgary, AB and daughter, Haley plus numerous great grandchildren. His siblings: Hazel Anderson of Edmonton, AB; Grace Verge of Radium, BC; Randy (Darlene) Bradley of Big River, SK. Edward was predeceased by: His son, Kelly Bradley, His parents, Louis and Viola Bradley. Dave Whalley officiated the Funeral Service held Thursday, December 3rd, 2015 in Big River, SK. Final Resting Place is in the Big River Cemetery. Memorial Donations can be sent to Big River Health Improvement Association or Lakewood Lodge Auxiliary.
