I was shocked and saddened by the news of Vern's passing. My deepest sympathy to Greta and family.
I met Vern a few years back in the casino. I was born in Midale, lived near and in Halbrite but spent most of my growing years in Weyburn. It was a surprise to learn that Vern had lived near my cousin in Weyburn and knew most of my relatives and many acquaintances from around that area.
Vern had a wonderful sense of humour and always had time for a visit. He will be missed.
