George Henry Weenonis 1936 - 2016 It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family of George Henry “Cikwan” Lachance (Weenonis) announce his passing on January 26, 2016 in the Parkland Integrated Health Center in Shellbrook, SK. at the age of 79 years. George was born on July 16, 1936 to Charlie and Mary Jane Weenonis. The Wake will commence on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Big River First Nation Band Hall, BRFN. The final viewing will be on Friday, Jan. 30, 2016 at 11:00 am. in the Big River First Nation Band Hall followed by the Funeral Service in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on B.R.F.N. with Father Tuan Doan as officiant. The Honorary Pallbearers will be; “All of George’s grandchildren”. The Pallbearers will be ; Clark Whitefish, Jeremy Lachance, Mervin Bear, Peter Bear, Andrew Lachance, RonJohn Tootoosis. The Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, B.R.F.N.
