Obituary of Mary Rohdin

It is with deep sadness that the family of Mary Rohdin announce her passing on August 1, 2007 at the age of 93 years in Leoville, SK. Mary was born in Wiesenfeld, Russia on January 16, 1914. Her family moved to the Rush Lake area in the early 1920's. Later on, along with her brothers and sisters, they homesteaded in Dournmouth. Mary is lovingly remembered by her sons Doug Rohdin of Rabbit Lake, SK and Eric (Linda) Rohdin of Port Alberni, BC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Rohdin, her parents Cornelius and Suzanna Stobbe, all of her siblings as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A graveside service was held on Monday, August 6th, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Spiritwood Cemetery. Rev. Cornie Martens was the officiant and a scripture reading and prayer was read by Rev. Don Unger. The soloist was Janet Cherwinski who sang How Great Thou Art. The congregational hymn, accompanied by Marlene Martens on the guitar, was Amazing Grace. Honorary pall bearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Mary's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mary was laid to rest in the Spiritwood Cemetery.
