Obituary of Douglas Earl Chislett

CHISLETT, Douglas Earl –Doug passed away peacefully on February 13, 2016 at Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert, SK. He was born to S. Chesley & Edna (Peasley) Chislett on February 23, 1924 in Shellbrook, SK. Douglas is survived by his brother-in-law Ken Preston of Prince Albert; nephews Allen (Sharron)Preston of Prince Albert; Gordon (Angie) Preston of Prince Albert; Dennis (Lori) Preston of Dauphin, MB and their families. Doug was predeceased by his parents and his sister Audrey Preston. Doug worked for various farmers in the Wild Rose & Sturgeon Valley districts. After his mother’s death in 1994 Doug moved to Shellbrook where he enjoyed participating in senior activities and watching hockey & curling on TV. In 2008 due to declining health Doug moved to the Herb Bassett Home, Golden Hill Pod, in Prince Albert where he resided until his death. No funeral service will be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date at Wild Rose Cemetery, Wild Rose, SK.
