Obituary of Melvin Roy Arcand

Mr. Melvin Roy Arcand 1950 - 2016 With heavy hearts, the family of Melvin Roy Arcand, Late of Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, announce his unexpected passing on Tuesday, April 25, 2016 at the age of 65 years. The Wake Service for Melvin commenced on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation School Gym, and the Funeral Service took place on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the School Gym. Interment was in the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Cemetery. Roy is lovingly survived by his wife, Doris (Daychief) Arcand; his son, Brendon Nooskey; his grandchildren, Chloe, Sara, Owen and Brooklyn; his siblings, Dorothy Townend, Lorna Arcand, Rick (Emily) Arcand, Debbie (Gil) Ledoux, Darlene (Gabe) Longneck, Evelyn Arcand, Dwayne (Phyllis) Arcand, Mary Rose McNeill; his special nieces, nephews and Grandchildren as well as all his cousins from Alberta and Saskatchewan. Roy was predeceased by, his parents Alphonse and Clara Arcand (Burnstick); his siblings, Kathleen, Audrey, Margaret, Maurice and 3 infant sisters. Father Gerald (Mick) Fleming officiated the service, and Dwayne Arcand read the eulogy. Honorary pallbearers were the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation Elders. Pallbearers were his special nephews, Ronnie, Dale, Leon, Steven, Leslie, Joey, Brandon, Clint, Clay, Lee, Gilly, Braydon, Keith, Dylan, Dustin and Brandon.
