We are so sorry for your loss! Losing Walter affects many, as he touched so many lives!
Brian remembers fondly the time spent at Walter & Evelyn's. Riding horses, driving cars and getting into trouble, He always felt welcome in their home!
When Brian got his first welder Walter became Brian's teacher and mentor. He was always there to explain, to show and to help. As recently as this past spring Brian went to Walters for help with a repair, they got it done and then enjoyed a great visit. Brian is forever grateful and will never forget the man who taught him so much!
I always tell people my Dad (Fred) could not have farmed without Walter being the fix it man! Dad took everything to Walter as Dad could fix nothing! Walter fixed it, they visited but he never was successful teaching Dad....mostly because Dad did not want to learn!
When Walter would be teaching Brian how to fix something, and Brian would ask if it was good enough, Walter would always say "it's fixed good enough for who it's for"! Brian uses this line all the time!
May your hearts mend and the emptiness fill with all the great memories!
