Obituary of Danny Wilfred Caron

Danny Caron 1960-2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce that Danny Wilfred Caron of Prince Albert, SK, passed away suddenly while at work in High Level, AB on August 9, 2016. Danny was born to Wilfred and Velma Caron on November 16, 1960 in Prince Albert, SK. He grew up in Prince Albert and is fondly remembered for his hard work and dedication to his job, his family, and his friends. He followed the motto of work hard, play hard, and he lived that motto to the fullest. He was the 2nd youngest of 9 children. He took most of his schooling in Prince Albert and completed his high school education in Snow Lake, MB. Through the years as a millwright and welder, he has worked above ground, underground and high in the air all over Western Canada. He has worked for a number of companies including Weyerhaeuser, Cameco, Impact Mechanical, and most recently Andritz. Through his work, he met many of his lifelong friends that he still has to this day, including Johnny, Al, Peter, Brad, Roy, Denis, Terry, Jerry, and Lee to name just a few. 32 years ago he welcomed his two boys into his life with Sylvie Proulx; and as time passed, he and his late wife Sherry welcomed their daughter Marnie. With Marnie by his side, Danny met his wife Ruth in 2003 and together they built a life renovating their house, Marnie's house, and enjoying their yearly holidays to Isla Mujeres, Mexico. He always looked forward to quality visits with family and friends, while enjoying the odd Coors Light and playing the machines of course. Danny had the pleasure of welcoming his grandson Jaxtyn into the world just a couple months ago and always had the biggest smile on his face when holding Jax or FaceTiming him while he was away at work. Danny is survived by his wife of 10 years Ruth (nee Vermette) Caron; his sons Shane and grandson Anthony; Adam (Tara) and grandchildren Keyanna and Aiden; his daughter Marnie (Collin) and grandson Jaxtyn; his stepsons Nicholas (Diane) and Curtis; his furry best pal Pita; his brother Larry (Austin) Caron; and his sisters Dawn (Tom) Huckerby and their children Darren, Jason, Karyn, Leslie; Cheryle's sons Tim, Steven and Lanny; Joan (Reg) Oberg and their children Lana, Lindsay and Chad; Mickey (Dwayne) Oberg and their children Michael and Jody; Melanie (Gordon) McDougall and their children Michele and Nicole (Danny's God Daughter); and his mother-in-law Hilda Vermette; his brothers- in- law Vaughn (Charlene) Vermette and family; Neil (Denise) Vermette and family; and Corey (Candace) Vermette and family; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred & Velma, his first wife Sherry, his brothers Lanny and David, his sister Cheryle, his nephew Jeffery Oberg, his great niece Michenna Evans, and his father-in-law Lawrence Vermette.
