Obituary of Kathleen Bryson

BRYSON - Kathleen. We are sad to announce the passing of our mom on Saturday, September 15 at Parkland Terrace Nursing Home in Shellbrook. Kathleen was born in the Chatham District near Kenaston, Saskatchewan on November 28, 1927, to Anton and Minnie (nee: Tkatch) Tisnic. She is predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Caroline Tisnic and Mary Tomkewich; a sister-in-law Lillian Tisnic, two brothers-in-law Walter Andersen, Frank Tomkewich; a foster son, Duane Starling. Kathleen is survived by her children, Cynthia (Reed) Mckay, Reg Bryson, Noreen (Paul) Bryson-Mudry; grandchildren Sean and Aaron McKay, Angela Bryson, Sarah and Lisa Mudry. Kathleen was a busy home maker while her children were young. Raising her own children as well as several foster children, gardening, and contributing to the farm. Once the children were in school she began working outside the home and eventually owned and operated several businesses. She was an independent lady who was willing to tackle any task. Mom's love of music and sense of humour was never lost. The funeral service was held at the Evangelical Missionary Church in Kenaston on Saturday, September 22 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gene Whitehead as officiant. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Interment was in the Kenaston Cemetery. Beau'Lac' Funeral Home in Shellbrook was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
