Connie and I were saddened to hear of Claude's passing. We came to know him as neighbors on 28th street. Our connection was cemented with the purchase of our Pleasureway. Claude loved to talk, in the alley, at great length, about Pleasureways, and camping in general. Plus all sorts of other topics, that ranged widely. He was a very knowledgable person, in diverse areas.
Claude cared deeply about his tenants, his buildings, and his neighbourhood. We benefitted from his dedication, and appreciated it. After he moved, he still took the time to call, or stop by, for a chat. Last year, at waskesiu, we had a great visit on our deck, and talked afterwards about the fact that not many people would take the time to seek us out, and spend time just visiting. After our son passed away, Claude showed his caring nature by seeking us out, to make sure we knew that he felt our loss, and that he knew, and liked, our son. It meant a lot.
He was a good man, and we are glad we got to know him. We are sorry for your loss, and send our thoughts your way.
We will miss him.
