William Remi Crowe "Old Man Rock" 1951-2017 William passed away suddenly on January 9, 2017 at his residence on Ahtahkakoop First Nation, SK. at the age of 65 years. He was born January 14, 1951 to William and Helen Wesaquate at Piapot First Nation. William is lovingly remembered by: His children:~ Sabrina (Cory) Sparvier,~ Tammy (Pat) Corrigal,~ Darcy Ahenakew,~ Marlin Ahenakew, His adopted son, Shawn Knife, His partner of 25 years, Beverly Ahenakew, His grandchildren:Terry, Teigan, Trad, Tasia, True, Tayten, Shyla, Shayden, Chantelle, Lilly, RayAnn, Isaih, William, Amberose and Tia, His great grandchildren: Shante, Creelyn, Caidyn, Shenoa, Dante, Malia, His step-father, Wilfred Pellitier, His siblings: Ida (Robert) Michaud; Elaine (Eddie) Lavallee; Myra (Dennis) Panteluk; Pat Wesaquate; Wade Wesaquate; Terry (Cathy) Ancuta; Lorraine (Istvan) Desnomie; Lorilee Jason; Dwayne Parisien; Susan Wesaquate; Janet Wesaquate; Curtis Wesaquate; Kimberly (Alex) Crowe; April (Darren) Majore, His adopted families: Derocher family of Meadow Lake and Bugler family of Red Pheasant FN, Numerous other extended families and life long friends. He is predeceased by: His parents, William and Helen Wesaquate (nee: Crowe), His paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wesaquate, His maternal grandparents, Remi and Blanche Crowe, His infant sister, Lorraine, His children, Sonya Sparvier, William “Bear” Ahenakew, His grandchildren, Trez Sparvier, Shenoa Sparvier and Sheldon Blacksioux. Wake Service will commence at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday January 12, 2017, the Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 13, 2017 and both services will be held at the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall.
