Obituary of John (Jack) Beeds

Mr. John (Jack) Beeds, age 68, late of Shellbrook, passed away in the Shellbrook Hospital on Friday, January 18, 2008. Jack was born November 14, 1939 in Mont Nebo, and lived there until he moved to Shellbrook in 1980. He met his loving wife Rose in Mont Nebo and they spent a happy 41 years together, raising three children, Henry, John and Louie. He also welcomed three stepchildren, Gerald, Steven and Mona. Jack worked for the Town of Shellbrook for 25 years, then retired in 2001. He liked to work on his cars and attend social gatherings such as rodeo's and pow wows. He loved to dance, especially the Red River Jig. Anyone remembering Jack will remember the many jokes he told. He had many good friends and family. He was a kind person with a heart of gold, and will be sadly missed by those whose life he touched. Jack leaves to mourn, his dear wife, Rose; three sons, John, Henry (Sandy), Louis; three stepchildren, Gerald, Steven, Mona (Terry ) Burridge; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; his brothers, James, Elvin (Sydney Jean), Sydney (Bernice), Leland, Ivan (Joanne); his sisters Phyllis Gilbert, Lorreen Andrews, Rose Beeds, Shirley (Phillip) Ledoux; special friends, Chip and Vivian Pechawis. He was predeceased by his parents John and Ethel Beeds; a brother, Andrew; a sister, Eileen. The funeral service was held at the Mont Nebo Community Hall on Friday, January 18 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Peter Boote as officiant. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation. Interment was in St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery, Mont Nebo.
