Betty gave us a warm welcome to Big River. She was always
ready to lend a helping hand. Elder berry jelly springs to mind. She was a stalwart of the church and helped so many ways that we hardly knew what to do without her. The town will miss her.
So many fond memories of this gentle lady as my neighbor and later as Kevin's neighbor. She was a friend to my mom and would often pop in and say hi to her on one of her many walks.She will be greatly missed by so many. Hugs and prayers to all the family .
Betty always held a special place in my memories. Although I never had her for a teacher, She did coach the first Basketball team for girls from grade 9-12 in Big River when we finally got our new gym. All ages played on the team and Betty gave us a great foundation of skills and knowledge for our future as basketball players for Big River. Another strong memory is of public skating and Betty cruising around the ice on her speed skates. Thank you Betty for the memories and condolences to her family.
Rest in Peace Betty, our past is the past...I will never forget the generousity, love you showed me and my son, your grandson Adam. I am sorry for the pain I caused you and your family.
