Obituary of Murielle Louise Degagne

DEGAGNE – Mrs. Murielle 1951-2018 Sadly, on Sunday, April 8, 2018, Murielle Louise Degagne, late of Morin Lake, passed away at the age of 66 years after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born on June 28, 1951 to William and Simone Degagne of Marcelin, SK. Murielle is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert Degagne; her sisters Doris Grimard, Rita Degagne, Claire Morash, Léone Degagne; her brothers Marcel (Georgina) Degagne; Omer (Melva) Degagne; her sisters’ in-law Lise Degagne, Ermanse (Donald) Degagne, Rita Degagne, Collette (Ghyslain) Degagne; her brother in-law Edmond (Fleurette) Degagne, and Gilles Degagne; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Murielle is predeceased by her parents, William and Simone Degagne; her sister Denise and infant sister Yvette; her brother André; her brother’s in-law, Harvey Grimard, Terry Morash, Ernie, and Jacques (Myrielle); as well as her mother and father in-law, Albert and Jeanne Degagne. Murielle took her nursing course in Nipawin, SK., where she made lifelong friends of her fellow students. Over the following 40 years, they would all try to get together as often as they could to catch up with each other. With treasured memories held close to their hearts, Murielle will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The Degagne family want to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and staff at the Shellbrook Hospital for their compassion and care. The Memorial Mass for Murielle will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church in Victoire, SK, with Father Michael Fahlman as Celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date in Victoire. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be considered to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Kinsmen Telemiracle.
