Obituary of Ken Hill

Ken Hill October 29, 1943 - May 1, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Hill. In the end Ken chose to live with his cancer, determined to not let it define his last days. He still travelled around the countryside in the camper van. He always said, “every road leads somewhere and you can never be lost.” He did the best he could to go bowling and curling, even if it was for only a few ends. He spent time playing cards, crocheting or having coffee with friends and family. Family was of great importance, if anyone talked about winning the lottery he would say he was a millionaire because he had a million dollar family and that was all a man really needs. Ken worked hard and had a thirst for knowledge. He frequented the library for a range of reading material like the Dead Sea Scrolls, Book of Mormon or a Western. He stopped at every roadside point of interest or museum plaque saying his head was full of useless information. He quizzed anyone who would tell him about their country of origin and people were drawn to him. Everyone was welcome at the farm and he took great pride in calling himself an organic aquarium. He was never afraid to try something new and he truly lived life well.
