Our deepest condolences to you all. I wish I could have been there today to celebrate Uncle Johnny’s life. He was so important in shaping who I am today by teaching me that everyone on the farm had a job to do regardless of your size. From picking eggs to carrying milk from the barn or fixing barbed wire fences. I learned so many life lessons during my summers there from learning to fish to how to troubleshoot mechanical issues on machinery. I appreciate today, that although the days started early or ended late, that there was always time to laugh and have fun. Those are only a few of many happy memories that makes me feel grateful that I had those times to have spent with him. Val and I send our best wishes to you during this difficult time and hope that the fond memories that you have will give you strength going forward.

I am so sorry to read of John‘s passing. Although I only met him a half dozen times (when he came in to get work done at Precision Service and Engineering); and I haven’t seen him in 30 years, I remember him well. It’s often said “you don’t remember what people say, but you do remember how people make you feel.” John had away about him of making people feel good about themselves. I am very grateful for the few times that I met him. I wish you and your family comfort as you grieve your loss.

Bill and Jane Klischuk and their children; Tonia, Heidi, Kurt, Kyle, Luke, Becky and Dale are so sad to hear of Johnny's passing. We all have such fond memories of his friendliness and generosity to our whole family.
I have been gone from Steep Creek area for almost 30 years but I remember with fondness the best neighbours anyone could have. John was always there with his big Steiger tractor and blade to plot our yard before the school bus came! I loved babysitting for John and Gloria because of the great kids and the wonderfully generous pay! So sorry to hear that you lost your husband and father so suddenly.
