Our condolences to the Bruce Family. Mary was a wonderful person and we always enloyed talking with Mary when we were together at a Deer Ridge function or dance or cleaning work bee. Mary was very faithful in volunteering her time at the Deer Ridge Community Center, whether it was helping to clean up the hall before a function, or cooking hamburgers at our curling spiels, or donating a big pot of soup or a tray of buns. She helped our with the graveyard clean-up each year that she could. Deer Ridge was a better place because of Mary's presence.
She is now with Milt and other family. My son, Ronald, rode the bus for one year when Milt drove. We have fond memories of both Milt and Mary at the Deer Ridge dances.
