Obituary of Ardythe "Ardy" Faul

FAUL, Ardythe (Schmitz) September 28, 1941 – January 28, 2019 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Ardy at Sherbrooke Center in Saskatoon at the age of 77 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Ardy was born in Humboldt, SK but lived most of her life in Prince Albert. Ardy’s family and her roles as mother and grandmother were the most important things to her. This was where she drew her strength and left her legacy. Mom was strong and independent. She loved doing things with her children such as teaching them how to cook, and taking them to their hockey, skating and baseball games. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and competitive games of Solitaire and Dominos. She also cherished her close friendships with her sisters-in-law. “Mom is gone to Heaven” “No more suffering” “No more pain” “Peace and Calm Surround Her” “Her mind is hers again” She will be lovingly remembered by: her children: Daryl (Cherie Kun) Faul, Sandra (Ken) Kolla, Robert (Sharon Wisoley) Faul, and Eric (Jay-Lynn Everitt) Faul; her grandchildren: Samantha, Charlene, Tyler, Shane, Nicky, Sarah, Keegan, Sharla, Colby, Jenna and Alissa; and her great-grandchildren: Caleb and Jacob Spicer. She was predeceased by her parents: Margaret and Leo Schmitz; her brother Daryl, brother-in law Gerald Hamilton, and her former husband: Joseph James Faul. She is survived by her sisters Shirley, Lorallyne & Judy. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Calvary United Church, 114 25th St E, Prince Albert, with Rev. Nora Vedress as Celebrant. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Ardy may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301 - 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
