MELASIPPE PAQUETTE WESKAKOPAYWEEIN JOSEPH The family of the late Melasippe Paquette Weskakopayweein Joseph of Big River First Nation would like to announce his passing on November 11, 2019, at the age of 93 years old. A wake service will commence on November 12, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Big River First Nation Band Hall. The funeral service will also be at the Big River First Nation Band Hall on Thursday 14, 2019, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Whitefish Catholic Cemetery, Big River First Nation. Mel is lovingly survived by, His children: Adam (Jocelyn) Joseph, Betty (Louis) McGilvery, Hazel Angus, Melinda Joseph, Doreen (Clement) Mitsuing, Emile (Albertine) Joseph, Hilda Joseph, Wanda (Dennis) Lachance, Debra Joseph, Genevieve Joseph, Ricky Joseph; 65 grandchildren; 153 great grandchildren; 32 great great grandchildren; His adopted children: Harvey Dreaver, Kevin Haywahe, Fred Halkett, Roberta Sanderson, Linda McAdam, and Kevin Lachance; His adopted brother: Colin Little; His half brother: Harvey Whitefish; Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mel is predeceased by, His wife, Nancy Joseph; His son, Ronald Joseph; His parents, William and Helen Joseph; 8 sisters and 7 brothers; His father and mother-in-law, Tom and Mary Whitefish; and His son-in-law, Johnny Angus.
