Obituary of Beverly Viola Peekeekoot

Beverly Viola Peekeekoot August 28, 1957 - February 20, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Peekeekoot announces that she passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. The wake commenced at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall. The Funeral Service for Bev took place at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 24, 2020, at the Ahtahkakoop First Nation Band Hall with Bishop Sam Halkett officiating. The Interment followed at St. Mark's Anglican Cemetery. Beverly leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Kenneth Peekeekoot; her children, April Peekeekoot (Adrian); Bonnie Peekeekoot (Mopsy); Nicole Peekeekoot (Marley); her adopted brothers, sisters, and children too numerous to mention. Her aunties, Mable Greyeyes, Ivy Ahenakew, and Geraldine Sanderson; her special granddaughter, Jordan Peekeekoot; her sisters, Doris Peekeekoot (Darcy Missens); Delores Peekeekoot; Mildred Peekeekoot (Norman Smallboy); Lorraine Peekeekoot (Jason Lauren); Colleen Ahenakew; her brothers, Clayton Peekeekoot; Calvin Peekeekoot (Leona Smallboy); Kim Peekeekoot; Melton Peekeekoot; her grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Beverly was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Viola Peekeekoot; her children, Devan, Dwight, and a premature baby boy; her grandparents James & Alice Peekeekoot, Donald & Caroline Sanderson; her sisters Brenda and Debra; her brothers Nowell, Dwayne and Justin. Eulogist was Darryl Peekeekoot; music was done by Big River Cree Singers, & Sandy Lake Choir; honorary pallbearers were the management and staff of the Whispering Pine Place staff; active pallbearers were, Shane and Darryl Peekeekoot, Adrian Starblanket, Alvin Morin, Robert Rabbitskin, and Marley Wolfe.
