Obituary of Keith Prentice

It is with deep sadness that the family of Keith Prentice announce his peaceful passing at the Herb Bassett Home on June 10, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Keith was born in Kinistino, SK on March 3, 1948, and was raised on the family farm near Weldon. Although he lived in various places, he was most at home with the Nykiforuks in Steep Creek, and then later at the Herb Bassett Home in Prince Albert in 2010. Keith loved to dance and if you were lucky enough to share a waltz with him you found out he was a skilled dancer as well. Keith had a real passion for farm life, especially cattle and rodeo and he had a special love of horses. Keith will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Elaine (Elmer) Chandler, Donald Prentice, Delmer Prentice and Karen (Wally) Disiewich; his nieces and nephews, Paul (Val) Chandler, Kathleen (Bob) Barrowclough, Kelly (Morgan) Disiewich, and Brad (Diana) Disiewich; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kristen (Cory) Bell, Brody Barrowclough, Andrew Chandler, Zachary Chandler, Shaelynn Chandler, Ella Disiewich, Benjamin Disiewich, Sloan Disiewich, Beckett Disiewich, and Blakely Disiewich; his great-great niece and nephew, Phoebe Barrowclough-Bell and Hudson Barrowclough-Bell; his special extended family, Terry & Ania Nykiforuk and Johnny & Nadia Nykiforuk; his special friend, Andy; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Keith was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Norman Prentice, his sisters, Grace Plunkett and Verna Rarich; his brother-in-law, Albert Rarich; as well as numerous aunts and uncles. A Private Family Service and Interment will be held. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Keith may be made to Rose Hill Cemetery, Box 271, Weldon, SK, S0J 3A0.
