Obituary of Wilfred Glen Adolf Lindenbach
LINDENBACH – Wilfred
1938 - 2020
Sadly, on June 30, 2020, Wilfred (Wilf) Glen Adolf Lindenbach passed away at the age of 82 at his home in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan. Wilf was born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan on May 30, 1938, and trained in Diesel Mechanics at the Manitoba Technical Institute – graduating in 1961. He worked as a parts and salesman at Co-op Implements in Prince Albert before becoming manager of the Lloydminster branch in 1970. His sales career took him to Yorkton in 1980 and he semi-retired to Shellbrook in the 1990’s where he continued to work on vehicles and farm equipment for his friends.
Wilf enjoyed golfing and traveling and was a member of the Elks of Canada from 1991 until the local lodge closed and was often seen driving around in ‘his blue car,’ but what he loved most of all was curling. He curled throughout each winter and dedicated much time to watching and recording curling tournament broadcasts.
Wilf was predeceased by his parents Adam and Elsbeth and brother Allan. He is survived by his son Darryl (Colleen), grandsons Devon and Tavian, brother Art, sisters Arlene, Doris, Frieda, and Loraine and their families.
