Rodney was predeceased by his parents George and Irene Brown, his brothers Verle and Mervyn Brown, sister-in-law AnnaLou Brown, nephew Bradley Brown, and various aunts, uncles and cousins. Rodney leaves behind a family that loved him and treasured those special moments and hilarious stories. Left to mourn his passing are his brother Wendell (Sarah) and their daughter Shawna; his sister Gloria (Greg) and their children Amy (Kyle) and Laura (Orrin); sister-in-law Marlene and her children Kelly (Nicole) and Murray (Heather). Also left to mourn him are his nieces and nephews: Matthew (Margory) and their children Mya and Mackenzie; Danny (Laurie) and their children Coleton, Kennedy and Annabelle; Amanda (Don) and their children Justin, Bode, Carson, Jennifer; Kimberly (Jerry) and their children Dawson, Owen Olivia. Also his good friend Pat with whom he shared many years of friendship and laughter.
Rodney grew up in the west flat of Prince Albert where he attended Queen Mary and Carlton, and later worked for various businesses in the area. Eventually, he took the show on the road, where he crisscrossed North America working for various carnivals and trucking companies. In January of 2019 Rodney suffered serious injuries following an accident at work. This accident brought Rodney home to Saskatchewan where he would spend the remainder of his life. Rodney enjoyed his time in Prince Albert where he was able to reconnect with old friends, and form new relationships. For those who knew Rodney well he enjoyed having friends and family over for meals, doing puzzles and watching movies.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rehab City Hospital who took care of Rodney while he was recovering from his accident. Further gratitude is sent to the staff of the Cooperative Health Centre and especially Doctor Ekpenike who took great care of him with kindness and love, and to the staff on 6th floor at the Victoria Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care.
