Obituary of Dean Storozuk
Gregory "Dean" Storozuk passed away suddenly Tuesday March 3rd, at his home in Spiritwood at the age of 49 years. Dean was born in Souris Manitoba, Nov. 20th, 1959 to Donna and late Stan Storozuk. In 1969 the family moved to Prince Albert where Dean spent most of his life. He attended West Central, Carlton High schools and tried his hand at various jobs and finally returned to school to get his Business Administration Degree. But Dean had a passion for cattle and farming and moved to Spiritwood in 1995 to work on the Dufour and later the Cadieu farm until their retirements. Dean then took summer employment with Kay's Construction Ltd, working road construction a job that gave him a sense of accomplishment and allowed him to wear many hats. Dean was not one to sit idle on his days off from Kay's he would be back in Spiritwood working for Randy Tiringer and part-time employment at The Spiritwood Stockyards. The Stockyard was his second home; everyone knew where he was on Wednesdays and not to call him he was busy. Dean enjoyed his occasional trips into PA to spend with his brother Trevor working in the garage and hanging out with friends but always ready to get back home. Dean was an avid card player and took great pleasure in beating you in a game of crib. Dean lived life to the fullest, the time of day for everyone, his crooked smile and verbal expressions will never be forgotten. Dean was predeceased by his father Stanley Storozuk May 2008 and is survived by his Mother Donna Storozuk (Phil Dufour) of Spiritwood; sister Robin (Bryan) Briere and brother Trevor Storozuk and niece Riley Briere of Prince Albert numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Funeral Service Thursday March 12th, 2009 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Bissell Memorial Church, Spiritwood. Rev. Leigh Sinclair will officiate, Urn Bearers are Donna and Trevor Storozuk. Lunch will follow service at the Pioneer Centre in Spiritwood. Interment at a later date. An Informal gathering to remember Dean will be held in Prince Albert on Saturday March 14, 2009 at 402 Riverside Drive from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the choice of the Donor.
