Charmaine and I travelled to Denmark together ( met through Cwhba ) and what a fantastic journey we had. She impressed upon me so much wisdom and a lifetime of unbelievable memories have been shared. She has empowered me, inspired me and her spirit will be with me. What a wonderful human being and I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend time with her. I will miss her dearly and always cherish the advice she shared. Cheers to a brilliant woman !

John, you know how much Char meant to everyone at the CWHBA. I just want everyone to know that in recognition of her outstanding service to the Canadian breeding industry and to our youth in particular we have formally named the Charmaine Bergman Young Breeders Fund in her honour. Her legacy will be supporting youth as they pursue their dreams to follow in her footsteps as a rider and a breeder.

We had the privilege of being neighbours to John and Charmaine for years. Take care John, we share your grief and are prepared to do anything we can to help at this time.and in the future. John and family, our sincere condolences on the passing of your wife and sister. We had the pleasure of knowing and meeting Charmaine many many years ago when Charmaine worked at CKBI and we owned the Modern Market. In fact mom made your wedding cake. Throughout the years Charmaine would touch base from time to time to bring us up to date on the happenings of life. In fact your present home is my mom's uncle's farm (Peter Hollick).
