It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Smith on March 30, 2021 in Prince Albert, SK at the age of 61. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Shelley; his two children, Jared (Jacqueline) Smith and Jenah Smith; his daughter, Amanda Smith; his nephew, Gordon Eikland; and his three grandchildren, Aubree, Greyson and Avienda. He will also be remembered by his siblings, Edwin (Dorothy) Smith, Hilda (William) Rasmussen, Judy Brakstad, Clifford Smith, Sharon Gagne, Brenda (George) Pashakis, Maxine Eikland, Louella (Pete) Russell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be dearly missed by his Timberland BowBenders family and friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Ernestine and Henry Smith; brothers, Dwayne, Ken and Rodney Smith; sisters, Doreen Pilon and Thelma Smith, brothers-in-law, Ken Eikland and Greg Brakstad, and sister-in-law, Bernice Smith.
Ron was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He was an extremely kind and humble man who always put others needs ahead of his own. He was known for his outrageous sense of humour! He always found a way to put a smile on people’s faces - whether it be through funny jokes, texts, pictures or videos. He had an amazing talent of making sure to leave a place happier than it was when he arrived.
Ron was also a proud member of the Timberland BowBenders Archery club who made an impact in the archery community. Not only was he an exceptional leader and judge, but he was also an inspiration to upcoming archers. Ron was a dedicated coach to many archers and made an impact in their lives and in the lives of their families.
As a farewell, Ron would say… “Fo Sho!”

You Meant So Much
You meant so much to all of us
You were special and that's no lie
You brightened up the darkest day
And the cloudiest sky
Your smile alone warmed hearts
Your laugh was like music to hear
I would give absolutely anything
To have you well and standing near
Not a second passes
When you're not on our minds
Your love we will never forget
The hurt will ease in time
