Obituary of Andre Felix Chalifour

Andre Chalifour July 4th, 1935 – June 6th, 2021 Andre was such a kind, caring man who loved his family with his whole heart. He was married to the love of his life for 65 years and together they raised 5 children. His grandchildren were #1 in his life and he always lit up with happiness when they would stop in for a visit. Andre did many things in his lifetime. He was a carpenter, electrician, and a plumber; he could fix anything. Most of all he was a farmer. He loved the land and farmed or helped on the farm until the very end. Most will remember him by his humorous charm. He never missed out on the opportunity to crack a joke if he could make someone laugh. Andre passed away peacefully on June 6th, 2021 in Saskatoon. He left behind many broken hearts and will be missed by all who knew him. Andre is lovingly remembered by his loving wife Cecile, his children: Philippe Chalifour of Leoville, SK and family: Jessilynne, Brianne & Justin (Mariah); Marcel (Karen) of Leoville, SK and family: Danyelle (Tyler) Paquette, Melanie (Jason) Wells & Brodey (Alyssa); Claude (Lori) of Langley, BC and family: Matthew (Bridget), Jordan (Danica Lance) & Julianna; Alain (Lorena) of Leoville, SK and family: Braydon (Paige), Kaylin & Denay; Celine (Jim) Gaboury of Spiritwood, SK and family: Koltyn, Tanner (Brooke) & McKayla (Thomas Anderson), daughter-in-law: Mona Chalifour,13 great grandchildren, his sister: Anne Marie (Raymond) Laventure of Leoville, SK and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.Andre is predeceased by his parents: Jules and Helen Chalifour (nee: Soucy), his parents-in-law: Napoleon and Marie Lavoie, his brothers-in-law: Edouard, Louis, Gerard, and Aimé Lavoie, and Andre Fontaine, his sister-in-law: Rollande Lavoie. By invitation, there will be a Funeral Mass held for Andre in the Ste. Therese de l’Enfant Roman Catholic Church on June 21st, 2021, with a private burial following the service. In memory of Andre, donations may be made to the Golden Ring Senior Centre in Leoville, SK.
