Hugh and Dorla opened there home to our son Adam as billets while he played for the La Ronge Ice Wolves. We were so impressed how welcoming both Hugh and Dorla along with the community of La Ronge was to our son and ourselves. Adam and Hugh made a connection right off the hop through there like of baseball and good steaks. Adam would always comment on what a hard worker and straight up guy Hugh was. We couldn’t ask for our child to be in better hands. Hugh will be missed, but never forgotten. Sending our deepest condolences to the Watt family.
Our deepest condolences to Dorla, Janelle, Lindsay, his extended family and coworkers. Hugh was amazing man. Strong, resilient, determined and capable of anything. While building a winter trail to our project site, he broke down in the middle of the bush. He easily built himself a shelter, lit a fire and waited for the next person to come along. We are so grateful to have had worked with him and will forever cherish so many wonderful memories.
