Bob was a great friend of mine. I curled with him for many years at the Callie & Highland Curling clubs. He always had a smile regardless whether we won or lost and always had time for coffee We also played a few golf games together..My thoughts are with you ,Phyllis & your family. Remember the good times. Again I am very proud to say I enjoyed being around Bob..

Bob was one of the first neighbours we met when we bought our cabin at Anglin lake 8 years ago. He quickly became much more than a neighbour as he helped us with all the things that you need to know when you own a cabin. He always greeted us with a smile and an enthusiastic “welcome to paradise”. Many of our projects where completed with Bob lending a helping hand or some calm words of advice. He was never too busy to stop and help us out. He was the kind of man who really listened and always asked about our family. Anglin Lake will never be the same without Bob but we will always remember his kind deeds and encouraging words which will bring a smile to our faces whenever we think of him.

My deepest condolences to Bob's family. I have many memories through my work career at Tech Services SaskPower in Saskatoon. When Bob came down he would enter the office larger than life with that huge smile. He was always so pleasant to the office staff that one couldn't see if he ever had a bad day. I admire him and you Phyllis for supporting him with his final decision. I'm sure he, Edwin and others are throwing curling rocks together up above

My sincere sympathy for the passing of Bob. Along with Harold Engele, I watched the virtual service. Indeed, Bob was certainly the gentleman. I likened him to my husband, Irvin, whom was very fond of Bob. Cherish your memories—there will be many. Sincerely, Elaine Humble

My deepest condolences to Bob's immediate and extended family. I have fond memories of Bob and the Barton family reunions he organized over the years. Bob knew the power and importance of family ties and the reunions were evidence. Such wonderful times and wonderful memories. I will cherish them forever and have Bob to thank. My mother, Vernice Podbielski (nee Barton) was Bob's cousin and talked fondly of Bob and Phyllis. Bob always took the time to chat with mom and dad with such grace and respect. The family has lost a great man. Rest in peace...your work here is done.

Sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Like many of the others, I met Bob through seniors curling. A true gentleman and sportsman. I helped coordinate the school curling for a few years and when I would ask for volunteers, Bob would come to me and quietly say, “pencil me in for as many days as you need and let me know the times”. The Seniors curling has lost a friend. May the memories of happy times carry on

Bob was a wonderful person. I had the great pleasure to curl with and against Bob in many senior games and one spiel. What as great guy. He was the epitome of sportsmanship.
I also worked with Bob when we seniors instructed in the school program for young curlers. I marvelled at his care and patience with the youth. What an example he set for them.
Bob and I teased a lot. I thought of him as fun guy and committed to his community.
I, like many others, loved to watch him teach curling to hi granddaughter. What a proud grandpa!
My thoughts are with all who knew Bob. We lost a great guy.
My condolences to Bob’s family. Thank you for sharing him with us.

I’m so sorry to hear the sad news. My very best memories as a kid were spending time at Anglin Lake. Though I never did grow to like jackfish… Why weren’t there more perch??
Bob was probably the kindest person I’ve ever met. He was a good man and he’ll be missed. Our condolences to Phyllis, Rob, and Treena and family.
Sincerely, Garth & Erin Jolly
