Obituary of Gerald Hanson

The family of Gerald Franklyn Hanson sadly announce his passing in Prince Albert on November 24, 2021, at the age of 74 years.  Gerald was born on June 30, 1947, to Frank and Gerda (nee Pearson) Hanson in the Kinistino Hospital.  He attended Pahonan School in the Glen Mary District.  He was a member of the 4H Swine Club.  After finishing school, he spent time in the U.S. doing custom combining, followed by helping on the farm.  From there he worked a number of years as a Ferry Operator until his retirement.

Gerald is survived by his son, Randy (Jennifer) of Kinistino, and their five boys, Aidan, Kieran, Tristan, Ethan and Camdan; his daughter, Deborah (Kenny) of Carrot River and their daughter, Abby; and his brother, Rennie (Ruth) and their family.  He was predeceased by his father, Frank in 1973 and his mother, Gerda in 2011.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Weldon, SK.  Lunch will follow at the Half Century Club, Kinistino, SK.
