Mr Kerr! What a delightful character.
Can remember him explaining that his name was actually pronounced Karr. Guess he gave up on that for the joy of starting his teaching day in the dark at 40 below. What a kind and patient and cheerful gentleman. Charming wry smile.
He enjoyed the respect that the really authentic teachers got. After Composite, I lost track of him. Reading his bio was fascinating. Hey, Prince Albert, name something after this distinguished citizen, please!
To Mr Kerr's family--how blessed you were, and thank you for sharing him with us.
Rach scòr tadhail airson Dia, Mgr MacIlleChiar. Gràdh ort.
Go score a goal for God, Mr Kerr. Love you. :-x

May, Kevin, Liam, Niall and families,
We are sorry for your loss. Bill was a good friend of Ron and Doreen. They had great memories from the various gathering of the teachers. Also, Bill may have had a few grey hairs as he watched Brent playing in the net. Dad appreciated the chance to chat with Bill about soccer strategy which helped him achieve his success as a coach.
Please accept condolences from our family.

My deepest condolences on Bill’s passing to May, Kevin, Liam, Neil and their families. Bill was the most influential man other than my father during the formative part of my young life. He wasn’t just a coach. Bill was a mentor who taught me about teamwork, working with others, and attaining a common goal, values I carry with myself to this day. Bill also had a great sense of humor that me and everyone else laugh. I consider myself fortunate that Bill had been a significant part of my life.

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Kerr. I will always fondly remember the time I was lucky enough to spend having him mentor and coach our teams throughout the years. His determination for the team to excel and attention to his duty as role model to us will forever be admired and treasured. Anytime our paths would cross, in recent years, there was an instant smile on my face, he was truly a gentle man.
Rest in Peace Sir

Saddened to read of Bill’s passing, thoughts and prayers to the Kerr Clan. It was a privilege to know Bill in the PA 56 days at Composite. He was the “real deal”, a guy who cared deeply for his students and colleagues, and a guy who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. The world is a better place because of Bill. Rest well Bill!

My deepest sympathy on Bill`s recent passing. He was a kind, funny wonderful man who`s passion for soccer was infectious.
He made a huge impression on me as a young player and his faith in our teams abilities was never doubted. I respected him immensely. Our association continued through the years with Minor Hockey and the CHCC. and Bill was always a friendly face and good conversation at the rinks.
Rest easy Bill. Yours was a life well lived.

I have many thoughts to share with Bill's family, including his impact on many friends as a teacher, coach, and mentor. I had know Bill and May for many years as our paths crossed often at the hockey rink and soccer pitches. Our Tuesday morning coffees solved many things, but most importantly, it allowed me time to spend with Bill. I got to know and respect a man of many perspectives on life, sport, and family. My world is a better to have known Bill Kerr. I appreciate all the moments we shared, and the insight I was able to absorb from Bill. Thank you Bill. And to May and your family, we are thinking of you all. Be safe and take care.

My sincere condolences. Mr. Kerr was one of my favorite teachers at Composite High School. He made MacBeth enjoyable. Always a pleasure seeing him at "Timmies" having a coffee. Always read to have a chat. I will miss his brogue and his smiling face.
