Obituary of Lloyd Gould
Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Kay (nee Van Meer); his son, Murray Gould (Suzie); his grandchildren, Kaylyn (Dustin Smith) and Andrea Gould (Anderson Stodalka); and great granddaughters, Adalyn and Aria; his siblings, David (Neil Hoffman), Trevor, Wendy (nee Gould) Longman; brothers-in-law, Jim Van Meer (Shelley), Don Van Meer (Pam), and Wayne Shepherd; sister-in-law, Susan Van Meer; as well as numerous family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elsie Gould (nee Easlick); his sister, Shirley Dawson; brothers-in-law, Doug Dawson, Ken Longman, Michael McKillop, Bill Van Meer; and sister-in-law, Sue (nee Van Meer) Shepherd.
Lloyd attained a diploma in Mining Technology at Haileybury School of Mines in 1979. His career in the Mining Industry took him to Ontario, New Brunswick and the Northwest Territories and home to Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories were his favorite places. Lloyd was a proud member and past Master of the Yellowknife Masonic Lodge #162.
Lloyd had resided in Prince Albert from 2000 to 2018 during which time he worked as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager with the City of Saskatoon and an Occupational Health and Safety Officer with the Government of Saskatchewan and finally as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager with the City of Prince Albert. Lloyd retired from the City of Prince Albert in 2013.
In retirement Lloyd enjoyed spending winters in Arizona, metal detecting, fishing, and working around the farm. He also maintained a keen appreciation for Northern art and music from the 1960’s.

In keeping with Lloyd’s wishes, no formal service will be held. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, 1 – 345 3rd Avenue South Saskatoon, SK, S7K 1M6.
