Obituary of Leo Pierre Fontaine

Leo Pierre Fontaine peacefully passed away on April 9, 2022 at Herb Bassett Home.

Leo owned numerous businesses throughout his life.  He and Joanne enjoyed many years travelling, fishing, and time with friends playing cards.  Most important was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Leo is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joanne (nee Lalonde); his 5 children: Sharleen (Dwayne) and her children Brooke (Tyler), Bree (Travis) and Lane (Becca); Laurie (Rick) and their sons Blair (Kelly) and Justin (Brittney); Colleen and her sons Taylor and Connor; Patty (Clint) and their children Brody (Riley) and Jessica (Mallory); Reg (Connie) and their daughters Ryan, Tobi and Piper; his great grandchildren, Maverick Petit, Adria and Kellan Barzeele, and Cadence, Tripp and Hayes Hewitt; and his sister Carmelle Zurowski.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edgar and Claire (nee Chalifour) Fontaine; his brother, Paul; his sister-in-law, Esther Serhan and her husband Bill; his brother-in-law, Charles Lalonde and his wife Sandy.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lotz for his many years of compassionate care, the staff at Herb Basset Home for their care over the past 5 weeks, and the staff at the Prince Albert Dialysis unit.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Leo may be made to Rose Garden Hospice - PO Box 2092, Prince Albert, SK. S6V 1E0.
