One of Kay's greatest accomplishments was to have a second chance to complete High School at the age of 51. She then went on to train as a clerk typist at the Prince Albert Business College. Her love of people made her seven years at White Cross Drugs pass quickly. Church and community involvement were always very important to Kay. She belonged to the Catholic Women's League in Spiritwood, Prince Albert and Big River. She also belonged to an inter-denominational Bible study group in Big River. Kay loved visits from her family and friends and enjoyed the little things in life - watching the birds eat from the bird feeder through her window, watching people fish off the dock, the northern lights, a beautiful sunset, a rainbow or a winter storm. If Kay were here, she would tell us to thank God for each new day, each inspiration, an unexpected gesture of kindness, the kindness to and from friends and neighbours, and to love each other always.
