Dave was a class-mate, colleague, mentor and friend for over 45 years. He was a a very special individual with a quiet but very witty sense of humour. As a colleague we served on many committees together and he was always able to cut to the heart of any matter and was always there to provide strong but quiet leadership. I will be forever grateful for his friendship and guidance..
Our deepest sympathy to Ann and family. We are very deeply sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We always enjoyed his company whenever we met out on the acreage walks and also his giggle, humor and precious smile whilst he did his trick with chiropractic adjustments. He will be missed but fondly remembered, Wayne and Gloria Smith.

Deepest condolences Buettner family. I always understood Dave was an exceptional man, but after reading the highlights of his life-he was absolutely inspirational. What a gift he gave to so many by leading by example! I truly wish I would've taken the time to get to know him better-he's my God-father...but I always knew he was someone special and it made me proud to have such a great man as part of my spiritual support system should I need him. I can only imagine that he and my parents are once again enjoying each other's company and enjoying a laugh or two. We are sharing in your sadness and hope your memories bring healing.
