My sincere condolences to Lorraine and the whole MacAuley family. Charlie was one of my bosses at the plant, and I loved the guy! Hard not too! When he made me an accomplice to his practical jokes on Bill or Cliff, or switching 3/6/9's crappy Maxwell House coffee for the better Nabob when 1/4/7 left their coffee drawer unlocked - who couldn't love and admire the guy?! Lol! As a new officer, I found myself in a little hot water from time to time. More often than he probably wanted to, Charlie would have take a little wind out of my sails , then he'd say something funny, and I'd leave the squad office smiling! Bill and Cliff would be some pissed that I wasn't leaving looking at my boots!! Brian, I always believed you had to have been so proud to work along side your dad. You guys were definitely 2 of a kind! Even after Charlie retired, I'd run into him on "coffee row" - he always had time for a good story and something funny to say! I think about Charlie often, and have nothing but chuckles and great memories! Rest easy Charlie

Lorraine and family, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated seeing you on Wednesday mornings. Of course we were spoiled by your wonderful tea biscuits, but our coffee group was always fun. So sorry for your loss but happy Charlie was ready and we wish the whole family a good celebration of his life which was filled to the brim with happy memories. Sending God’s Blessings at this difficult time. Gena Cleveland

Lorraine and family,
My condolences to you all.
Charlie was a man of faith, love and sharing.
To all the grandchildren. You were all gold in grandfather's eyes. He always had a photo and was proud of your sport activities but mainly your education.
Taken from the footprints in the sand we will always find the Lord's. Now you will find a set of moccassins. They are your grandfathers from the north (LA).
Charlie would always help as he always helped me in so many ways.
A sad day was when Jason took away the chainsaw, so we started a new club - A.C.L. - afternoon coffee league.
Michelle, in your school days you were great in skipping from Carlton to the university of the A&W. Now you have a high chef's ticket and are a caring health worker.
Brian, you are a chip off the block. I had the honor of working with you and your father at the CSC.
Charlie was and excellent gardener and berry picker. He wore out vehicles delivering Lorraine's baking to family and friends.
Charlie the trumpet has sounded. You have been called to eternal care. Rest in Peace my brother correctional officer and friend. We shall meet again.
I thank the Lord for sharing the life of Charlie with us all.
Henry, Shirley, and Carol-Lynn Yuzik

A feeling of shock and sadness was in my heart when I read about Charlie's passing today. I especially feel for Lorraine who has
been so very strong in her attendance and efforts to keep Charlie comfortable - actually all their lives - but more intensely this past
few years. I will miss hearing about his amazing wit and humour as I know all who knew him will recall. Always a friend to chip in if one needed to fall a tree at the lake or help with any array of tasks as he seemed to be able to handle most everything. I know that Jason ( & Dawn), Brian (& Darcy), and Michelle as well as all of his Grandchildren will miss him deeply because I knew of nobody that was more a "family man" than Charlie.
Rest in peace Charlie and to Lorraine and family I pray your many wonderful years of togetherness will bring you comfort.

Lorraine,Jason Brian, and Michell Charlie is a very precious memory to our family, He was always ready with a joke to make you smile and always ready to provide a helping hand. My memories of him at work as a supervisor and a friend will me etched into my mind forever. Lorraine and Charlie were great neighbours at the lake, your dad would express great joy in delivering your mother's freshly baked cinimmon buns as payment for some little task he had con me into doing, with the promise her buns. It still makes my mouth water. Charlie was the prankster and I loved him like my father, he and Lorraine were always willing run to the rescue of anyone. They say that people are judged by the friends and relationships they have made throughout the course of their lives. Charlie, was a champion to his friends and will live on through their memories. I want Charlies family to know that he had a special place in my heart amd my life and I will cry a little tear today in is memory.
