It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Euclid Marcel Dore of Debden, Saskatchewan, on August 28, 2022 at the age of 84.
Euclid was born in Eldred, SK on the family farm to Ovila and Annette Dore, on May 6, 1938. In his early youth, his family moved to Debden, SK where he made his home for the rest of his life. He was a very proud community member and would often speak proudly of what Debden has to offer. Throughout his working career, he had many different experiences including owning and operating a backhoe excavation business (Dore’s Contracting). He loved to hunt and fish and passed along those skills to his children and grandchildren.
Euclid shared his faith with us all through his gentle example of how to live a full life. His devotion to his faith will continue to live on through his family. He was a loving husband and a wonderful, giving father to his children and grandchildren. His in-laws, nieces and nephews all held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Deanna Dore (nee Ethier), his children – Cecile Marquis, Vivian Moody (Kim), Donald Dore (Carmen) and Darryl Dore (Audrey) – and his nine grandchildren, Tyler (Ray-Lynn), Andrew, Alexander (Sara), Lucas, Jacob, Benjamin, Danielle, Caleb and Gunnar, two siblings, George Dore, Celine Sanderson (Peter) and his in-laws, Louella and Leonard Park, Simone and Barry Wilson, Norman and Linda Ethier and Evelyn and Armand Chretien, foster sisters, Rita Fisher, Lorna Morin and foster brother Randy Carrier and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Euclid was predeceased by his parents, Ovila and Annette Dore, his parents in-law, Ernest and Cecile Ethier, sister and brother-in-law Louisa and Henry Roesch, sister and brother-in-law Ron and Laurienne Meena, sister-in-law Hilda Dore, nephew and niece Raymond and Paulette Dore, nephew Everett Meena and niece Heather Wallace, great- nephew Jordan Philibert.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Shellbrook Health Care, Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK and Saskatoon Heart Care Clinics for their wonderful care throughout the years.
He will be greatly missed but not forgotten
