Richard Donald Coles

May 18, 1955, to September 29, 2022

Rick was born to Leslie and Clara Coles in Shellbrook Sask. He attended Foxdale and Shellbrook Schools. He grew up on the family farm at Foxdale and enjoyed hunting and fishing his whole life. Rick married Cathy Simonar in 1976. He was father to Devon, Heather(deceased), Mark and Paula. Rick farmed with his Dad until 1977 and then worked at various jobs. He worked seasonally for different neighbors while trapping in the winter months. He always looked forward to fishing and hunting and loved that his children enjoyed his passion as well. One of his favorite hobbies was making knives and he amassed quite a collection over the years. He tried his hand at soapstone and wood carving, clay modeling, and lathe work. He was constantly busy tinkering with something. He had a good sense of humor and had a way of telling stories of his life experiences that entertained everyone. He had a quiet caring nature and looked forward to visits from his kids and grandkids. They will always remember getting a revel from grandpa whenever they came. He made sure to have fuel in the quad to give them rides and was thrilled to see them learn to ride on their own. There will be a Graveside Service held for Richard on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Foxdale Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to join the family at the graveside.
